I am a Marriage and Family Therapist in Troy, Ohio, and virtually.
It is a great privilege to walk alongside my clients. I strive to offer my clients a comforting space, free to be the most themselves during that hour of the week, and expanding beyond my office. I offer compassion and humor, when appropriate, and together we will collaborate to achieve your goals.
YOU are the expert in your life! I want to understand you and your specific problems, the history in getting here, and possible systemic issues standing in your way. I get that change isn’t as easy as “just trying harder!”
My training as an MFT denotes that I consider the systems in which we were raised, and live. I work with individuals and couples, through an Emotionally-Focused and Narrative lens. I keep in mind the aspects of your unique story that have led you to my office.
I am also EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) certified.
I believe in this evidence-based treatment to offer healing from traumatic events. We look at current symptoms that may be tied to past events and patterns, and work together to rewire memory networks to more adaptive, updated, and appropriate beliefs.
I offer intensives with EMDR, meaning that we will work together for several hours at once instead of one hour each week. This allows us to jumpstart and gain momentum in your healing journey.

Individual Therapy
Come sit with me (on my very comfortable couch). My style is compassionate and authentic, using humor when appropriate, and evidence-based techniques. My clients often find relief from symptoms of anxiety, depression, loneliness, and grief.
My goal isn’t to save you from your problems, but to support you in building tools and confidence that you can face life’s inevitable challenges.
Together, we will collaborate on goals and your vision for a more fulfilling life. I use person-centered techniques, while supporting you in narratives, emotions, and solutions.
Couples Therapy
There is not a one-size-fits-all solution with relationships. Whether you’re looking to maintain momentum in your relationship, or on the brink of making life-altering decisions, I want to support your own journey and decision.
I use Emotionally-Focused techniques, and bring in Narrative, Gottman, and Imago communication tools.
Couples who work with me improve their communication skills, feel more connected, and are able to identify patterns that have kept them stuck in negative cycles for years!
EMDR Therapy
(Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing)
EMDR is an evidence-based therapy to treat trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, OCD, chronic pain, and addiction. It can address disturbances related to abuse, grief and loss, chronic illness, panic attacks, and more.
It uses “bilateral stimulation” (side-to-side eye movements or tapping, for instance) to help the brain reprocess traumatic events, and reduce your current-day symptoms related to these memories.
EMDR does not need you to recount the details of a distressing event. EMDR allows the brain to flow through its natural healing process. We don’t erase the memory, but rather, reduce the response to the triggers experienced from the trauma that may keep us in survival mode.
